As I approach each new project, there is a process. The first step is getting to know my client, their likes and dislikes, their budget constraints and their vision of the final outcome.
Design concepts and programing give me a basis for the project. Elements of the design allow form and function to support each other. I use scale, pattern, color, texture and light to move toward the final product.
For me, developing a final set of documents that tell the story of what will be built, gaining jurisdictional approval, and meeting the owner's vision are all part of the process.

Meeting Their Needs
As my work continues on Senior Living projects, my ability to design for this market goes beyond the normal five senses. It includes a sixth sense, one of wellbeing. It deals with the issues surrounding mobility, health, finances, socialization, learning, hobbies, …...you know.... Life. Designing for seniors needs to reference all of these. But so much more.
Life continues to happen full speed ahead. People making memories. In those every day ‘life moments' having a physical environment that feels energized, is full of color, allows for creativity, and movement, includes everyone and is friendly to every person, those moments are so emparative.
To get there requires the ability to design a bespoke environment that is unique for Seniors. Making certain that safety and comfort are always present through the use of texture, color, creativity and superior design enables my desire to make it their home.
